Yair was born in Montreal, Canada but raised in Efrat (Jerusalem), Israel. While in school completing his BA in Business Management and Sociology, Yair managed his parents’ bakery in Jerusalem and continued to do so after he finished his degree and married Lainey. Basically born with a spatula in his hand, Yair continues to hone his passion and craft for baking!

Lainey was born and raised here in Cincinnati! After attending Sycamore High School, she moved to Israel where she served in the army for seven years. During that time she fell in love with and married Yair. In 2019, she received her certification in Nutritional Medicine. Lainey is very passionate about the healing powers of food!

Taylor was born and raised in Dayton. Taylor went to school for Magazine Journalism and transitioned into Public Relations and Marketing. After college she moved to LA and did PR for Levi's for three years. With a passion for food and small businesses she is the perfect addition to the Café Alma family.

Tristan was born and raised here in Cincinnati. He is currently a student and studying computer engineering. Tristan managed a Starbucks for eight years and has a huge passion for coffee. He is so excited to a part of the Café Alma family!

Born and raised in Guatemala, Chef Maynor Hernandez moved to the USA when he was a teenager and worked his way from dishwasher to Executive Chef of the Bravo Brio group.He has over 30+ experience in the restaurant industry and a huge passion for soccer (go River Plate!!). He attributes his passion and love for food to his mom and is so incredibly excited to be a part of the Cafe Alma family!
