    Yair Richler

    FAVORITE DISH: Lasagna

    Yair was born in Montreal, Canada and raised in Efrat (Jerusalem), Israel. While completing his BA in Business Management and Sociology, he managed his parents’ beloved bakery in Jerusalem—a place that helped shape both his entrepreneurial spirit and his deep love for baking. After marrying Lainey, that passion followed him to Cincinnati, where Café Alma came to life. Today, Yair leads the kitchen with creativity, precision, and a whole lot of heart—guiding the culinary direction of the café while still getting his hands floury every morning. Whether he’s perfecting a new pastry or training the team, Yair continues to grow his craft and share his love for fresh, flavorful food with the community.

    Lainey Richler

    CO-OWNER

    FAVORITE DISH: Mujadara

    Lainey was born and raised right here in Cincinnati! After graduating from Sycamore High School, she moved to Israel, where she served in the army for seven years. During that time, she met and married Yair, and together they began dreaming up what would eventually become Café Alma. In 2019, Lainey earned her certification in Nutritional Medicine—a reflection of her deep belief in the healing power of food and her passion for showing people that eating well doesn't mean eating without joy. Since opening Café Alma in 2022, Lainey has been at the heart of its mission, growing the café alongside her growing family. As a mama and a maker of meaningful community, she continues to pour her love into everything from menu inspiration to mindful hospitality.

    Chase Patrick

    FAVORITE DISH: Pasta Armonim

    Chase’s journey began in the world of distilling, where he developed a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, flavor, and hospitality. That passion naturally led him into restaurant management and curation, where he’s spent many years curating unforgettable guest experiences and building strong, inspired teams.  When not immersed in the world of food and drink, Chase is usually out on the golf course or enjoying time with my wife and 2 dogs - his favorite sources of joy.

    FAVORITE DISH: Salmon Piccata

    George’s culinary journey began right here at Café Alma, where he discovered his passion for cooking and quickly became an indispensable part of our kitchen family. Before trading hard hats for hot pans, George worked in construction—and he brings that same grit, focus, and craftsmanship to every dish he helps prepare. He’s also spent time at Maggiano’s, deepening his skills and love for food. Off the clock, George is all about his 7-year-old daughter, who is the absolute light of his life.

    FAVORITE DISH: South of the Border Shakshuka

    Sammy is a proud mama of three wild ones and a lover of all things wellness and woo. With a strong background in bartending, she brings a creative and intuitive flair to Café Alma’s beverage offerings. Since joining the team, Sammy has loved diving into the world of coffee, learning the art of being a barista alongside our incredible crew. Her passion for people, craft drinks, and good energy shines through in every cup she serves.
